Mono 1.1.8 Windows Installer
Notice how we are using Gtk# 1.0.10 and 1.9.5 for this release. I will try to deliver the Gtk# installers for MS .NET Framework very soon. This time I have included some GNOME pieces as well. Unfortunately, all of them are unmanaged libraries, but I still included them so that brave souls can begin doing the build system changes necessary to have the Gtk# build system recognize and hopefully create their managed wrappers.
Some of the libraries include GConf, Orbit-2.0, bonobo, libgnomeprint, libgnomecanvas and gnome-mime-data. We really have to thank Tor and many others in the Novell Evolution team that are porting a lot of this pieces so that we can have Evolution in Windows. Needless to say, a great side effect of this effort could be, Beagel, F-Spot, Blam! and dare I say MonoDevelop? :). Don't get your panties all in a bunch now, we have very key pieces that are not cooperating with me (gnome-vfs you don't like me but I like you!).
The XSP and SSL support simply rock!
Mono SQL Query is not ready yet, but Daniel Morgan is hard at work making the changes necessary so that the application will be more Gtk# 2.0 stylish. He is making good progress and as I told him, we will make a revised version of the installer as soon as there is a shippable version of this indispensable tool.
Skateboarding Paco's Only Sport
In 1979 I used to Saketboard professionaly in Puerto Rico. I was even sponsored by a small skate and surf shop in my home town of Carolina Puerto Rico. After watching Lords of DogTown and hearing some of my friends wondering why I was dressing funny (most of it from Paquito's closet and from the store HotTopic) at my tender age of 41, I decided to post my photographic evidence:
If you are "in the know", you probably noticed the totally awesome Shogo deck I am riding.
If you want to see what happens some 20 year and about 35 pounds later then click here or here.
If you decide to go see Lords of DogTown, then I recommend you watch Stacy Peralta's documentary first.

Your sk8 picture rock! Talk about going vertical :), too cool.
I hope that Miguel manages to do another Mono Developer Conference sometime this year.
Does this installer include Zac Bowling's work on geckosharp under Windows? If not, what would be necessary to get both of these working? Thanks!
